Great Idea But Flawed (needs to be more stable)

It was fun but it really needs a suction cup or something to keep it from toppling over. My dog could see the food inside the dome and every time he hit it with his paw, it would tip over. It would be a really fun game if there was a way for it to be stable. If they put a big suction cup to the bottom to keep it firmly planted to the tile or wood, I would give it 5 stars. But because of the instability of it, sadly it is going back.

This 2-in-1 interactive treat dispenser is one of those pet toys that quickly turns snack time into an actual mental workout, for your pet and a little entertainment for you.Right away, the duck-shaped design is cute and playful, making it more engaging than a standard treat toy. But the real appeal is the interactive button mechanism combined with the slow feeder puzzle design. It encourages pets to actually think a little before getting their reward, which is both amusing and surprisingly impressive to watch. The durable construction feels solid enough for regular use, and it holds up well against enthusiastic paws and noses. It’s designed for both dogs and cats, though dogs with a bit of patience (or snack motivation) seem to enjoy it the most.As a slow feeder, it does a good job helping control eating speed, which is great for pets that tend to inhale their food like it’s a competition. It also provides mental stimulation, helping reduce boredom-related chewing or mischief.Only minor downside: some pets may figure it out quickly, while others might need a bit of guidance at first.Overall, this is a fun, engaging, and practical enrichment toy that combines playtime and feeding into one interactive experience.

Great engagement toy

I was really hesitant to buy this based on the reviews but I am so glad I did. My 9 lb. chi-yorkie-wet gremlin mix uses it every day. She is a rescue who is afraid of bowls so this is a great way to have her enjoy her meals. It took her less than 5 minutes to get the hang of it and about 10 minutes of redirecting her "just knock it over and take it all" short-cut to get to her play by the rules. I could open a consignment shop with engagement toys she has mastered in a second and lost interest in but this is one she still loves.

Cute, just not for my dog.

Shipped quickly. My mini schnauzer is a bit timid because of the noise it makes. Also doesn't seem to be able to push hard enough on the lever. Not the fault of the toy.

After repairing, my dog loves it.

Is a great idea. The plastic hub that holds the spinning tray is very weak causing the tray to slip and not spin. I took it apart and crazy glued the hub. Now it works great. My dog absolutely loves it. He hits it with his nose. Update: after gluing the hub, this toy works to perfection. My dog loves it. I put Iams mini chunks in it.

This toy / treat dispenser is great for nervous clever dogs. My chiweenie and mini dachshund love it and have figured out how to knock it around the room for bonus treat dispensing. Senior dog works the lever and puppy runs in and swipes the treats. Very entertaining; well worth the price.Keeps them busy for a good long time and seems to be quite durable. Highly recommend for mini and small dogs.

My 75lb dog loves a good puzzle toy. He has learned how to operate many of them, as well as learning how to operate things like talking buttons (for messages like "Go Outside"), so I figured he stood a good chance of learning how to operate this toy. He was patially successful--after several demonstrations he did figure out that he was supposed to use his paw to slap at the lever, and he did this from time to time. However, he also figured out that the treats would pop out more quickly if he just tipped the toy over or threw it around, so he defaulted to that instead. The toy is mid-weight, not so light that it's junky but also not so heavy that it can't be tipped easily. The mechanism spins appropriately (but be sure not to fill it more than just a light layer of treats/kibble, as instructed--otherwise they can't propel out of the hole). It's easy to fill and to change the domes to select the best size opening.Overall this toy has definite potential for some dogs. I don't think cats would do as well with it, or small lightweight dogs (you need to really SLAP the level to make the treats launch out). It's worth a try if your dog likes a good cognitive challenge and has figured out other paw-activated toys!

Not so great! Wouldn't buy again.

The Levar that the dog pushes down to spin and release the food doesn't return to the correct position to work again. This also a lot smaller than I expected. I wouldn't buy this for a big dog as they might chew it apart fast.

Not for everyone…depends on your for friend

Thought this would FINALLY be the answer but Leo dislikes the spin of the treats so instead, corners it, and licks the plastic lid to unscrew it for unfettered access. He’s a cat, incredibly intelligent and NOT skittish at all, but he doesn’t ENJOY the “control” measure nor is pushing the lever fun if it’s a “bad spin.”

Hard for small dogs

My 16 pound Maltipoo who is fairly smart had a difficult time pushing the lever hard enough to spew out the treats and he definitely tried. After a while, he simply grabbed the thing and figured out how to unscrew the top and completely bypass the lever. It’s really cute but that lever isn’t for everyone.

My Dog Wants the Treats, But Not the Work

I tried to get my food-motivated dog to learn to press the button, but he was training me to press it. I even had a friend come over to help, but nope! Ill probably give it away.

Very easy for clever dogs to defeat.

It was delivered. The idea is lovely. The device works. Unfortunately, as is with many of the feeding toys, the top doesn't sit securely enough. My dog just twists the top off and eats everything while I'm training him to useAlso, training instructions would be a benefit.

Dog Had a Good Time

My cat couldn’t quite figure this one out and gave up, but my dog had a blast with it. It’s smaller and can tip over if your dog or cat plays with it aggressively, so it could be a problem if you have a larger dog.

Adorable and Engaging Toy, but Has a Minor Mechanical Flaw

I bought this toy for my Maltipoo, Woody, and he absolutely loves it — and honestly, he looks so adorable playing with it! The overall quality feels solid, and the size is perfect for small to medium dogs. It’s easy to use, and I love that the toy has various hole sizes so you can control how quickly the treats come out, which adds to the fun and functionality. However, one downside is the pedal mechanism. When Woody steps on the pedal too hard, the gear tends to slip, and the spinning plate only engages properly when the pedal resets to its original position. This makes the treat dispensing less consistent than I’d hoped.Despite this minor flaw, it's still a fun and stimulating toy that keeps my dog engaged and happy. It’s a great choice for treat-motivated pups who enjoy interactive play.

Fun toy but will the dog figure it out.

The device works exactly as advertised. It's just that my dog isn't smart enough to figure it out. I spent a day with her putting her foot on the pedal and she just couldn't figure it out. When I didn't hold her foot on there and make the treat come out, she stood there and barked at it. She got pretty ticked off at it (hilarious). The orange piece is a flywheel that spins when the pedal is pressed and hurls the goodie thru a bubble lid that has a hole so the treat dispenses. (the mfg supplies 3 bubbles with varying sizes for different yummies. We'll keep trying but have my doubts that she will have an epiphany and figure this out soon. LOL. Still a fun toy for the dog.

I would love to see a dog use this toy correctly

Hey listen I understand the concept, it’s cute and probably works well for a small well behaved dainty dog. However, as soon as I took this toy out of the package my Frenchton’s pupils dilated, she got a whiff of the plastic, and it was on. Immediate gremlin mode. There was no figuring out the correct way to get the treats out, but instead, she grabbed it straight out of my hands and took off tearing down the hallway with that poor duck’s life flashing before its eyes. It took seconds for the plastic globe encasing the treats to go flying and my dog was feasting on her prizes. She was more interested in gnawing on the plastic than actually using it as an enrichment toy. It lasted 14.7 minutes. RIP little duckie.

This dog toy was a gift to my brother. Here is his and his wife’s opinion on the product. This cute dog toy works really well. We have to train our dogs to press the lever and out pops a treat from the opposite side. It makes teaching them really fun. Right now our dogs are used to placing their paws in our hands instead of a lever so they will likely improve their technique in the future. The toy looks cute so it is appealing to see them with it. The dogs are more focused on the treats but they are starting to get excited when we bring it out for fun training time.It holds treats and dispenses them most of the time. The treats might be a little big or the lever may have not been pressed completely by the dog. Im sure with more training, they may get better results in the future. We find that small dry treats work the best as it leaves little to no mess to clean up.The toy does tend to slide when operated. We do have large dogs but that shouldn’t have to be an issue. This requires us to hold the toy steady as we train them. If this toy had rubber pads that help hold it steady, it would be an easy 5 stars. Of course I can order and place my own rubber pads so this makes it have a 4.5/5 stars. Maybe a small dog won’t push it around as easily but your own results may vary. If anything changes, we will update this review.Overall, we enjoy this dog toy and hope that you do too when you give it a try.

Safety Warning when using with 2 Small Dogs

I usually leave 5 star reviews, but I have to leave this warning. I have 2 Pomeranians and one loves puzzles and figures it out, the other, not so much. When you have 2 dogs with this toy, you can't just sit back and let them figure it out, after you have shown them how it works. Ginger would tap on it, which spins the part that throws out treats, but Rocky would put his tongue in the spinning device trying to get the treats that way. So while one spins it, the other can put his tongue in which has a plastic edge or kind of a "blade" that tosses the treats out the hole...so they could injure themselves. Secondly, it is not secured to the floor after, so it could hurt them by it moving around, and then Rocky would try to move it around by carrying it around. Great idea, I hope they take this back to the drawing board and make it a little safer for small pets. I would never leave it alone with them while I was gone. I had to return it. Not so safe for my tykes.
